The short answer
Design and approvals, site preparation, foundation, structure, masonry and services, finishes, then testing and handover.
After design and sanction, work moves through site clearing and layout, excavation and foundation, plinth, columns and slabs, blockwork, waterproofing, electrical and plumbing conduits, plaster, flooring, joinery, painting and finally fittings and snag closure.
Each stage has an inspection point that is expensive to revisit later — foundation depth, reinforcement before concreting, and waterproofing before tiling. Agree these checkpoints with your architect and contractor in advance.
